Some history about the Krispy Kreme Challenge

The winner of the first dare (2004) was then-freshman Ben Gaddy who beat nine guys in 34:26 minutes after ingesting 2,400 calories and 144 grams of fat.
"I guess that's just sort of the thing that college kids try to do... Eating challenges seem to be more popular "Gaddy said.

2006
150 racers signed up

2007
1,500 people registered
Mr. C and I were in that one
one set a new time record of 24:32
(not Mr. C or me)

2008
3,300 turned out
The top ten competitors all finished the Challenge in under 31 minutes, averaging less than 8 minutes per mile on the four-mile course.

"There's always been discussions about how do you make it more challenging," Gaddy said. "Maybe cream filled?"

I love those pictures! And the quote about the cream filled doughnuts! Mmmm Those are my favorite! I think I would have to walk back after eating a dozen of those though...
